From abolitionism to civil rights and current social debates, religious convictions have shaped political life. The separation of church and state aims to protect diverse spiritual expressions and secular views. This class, led by Rev. Chad Herring, will explore how mainline Protestants engage in politics to promote the common good through the study of scriptural and civic texts.
